Following the release of S-100 Edition 5.2.0, key product specifications (S-101, S-102, S-104, S-111) were updated and are now fully aligned with the 5.2.0 version.

In response, PRIMAR has refreshed and expanded its S-100 training offering. Updated course bundles now cover S-100/S-101, S-102, S-104, and S-111, with enhanced modules focusing on product specification introduction, data quality, encoding, portrayal, metadata, interoperability, and data protection.

The upgraded training includes new video content, exercises, Q&A, multilingual subtitles, and downloadable transcripts - providing practical learning for operational data production.

A new S-100 Overview Course for Management Level is now available for FREE in the PRIMAR Training Portal, for all registered users.

The course provides an insight into S-100 for domain management purposes, focusing on the importance of S-100 for Hydrographic Offices and other agencies in the marine domain. Opportunities, cooperation, management and challenges related to S-100 are keywords for this training course, which elaborates on relevant topics for Hydrographic Offices and other national agencies in the process of implementing support for S-100 within their organizations and field of responsibility.

The 1 hour 15 min long course is available in English, with English, French and Spanish subtitles for your convenience.

S-100 was released in version 5.2.0 June 2024. Following this development, the S-101 Product Specification was updated accordingly. S-101 2.0.0, being S-100 5.2.0 compatible, was released December 2024.

With the release of updated content in the S-100 & S-101 Course Bundle, students can now build knowledge and experience on the framework needed to produce operational S-101 ENCs. The update includes new and enhanced video material, Q&A and training exercise. The new videos now contain subtitles with language selection, and the ability to watch and download transcripts of the content.
